Wind power project, located in the municipality of Hokuto, Hokkaido, the northern island of the country. With an area of some 521 hectares, the power output is 21 MWp. Hokkaido is known as one of Japan’s richest wind resource regions. The city of Hokuto, in particular, has coastal areas, where the wind speed is likely to be stable and high, and is located in a terrain with an orography conducive to this type of installation.
