Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) technology project, located in Aomori City, Aomori Prefecture, Tohoku region, northern Japan. It consists of a storage facility with a total capacity of 30 MW. Aomori prefecture is a suitable region for wind power generation and many wind turbines have been installed. However, as wind power generation is affected by weather conditions, the amount of electricity generated can be unstable, so the construction of storage stations allows surplus electricity to be stored and supplied in times of shortage, thus promoting the efficient use of renewable energy.
