BESS Fukushima, Nishishirakawa

Description

A battery energy storage system (BESS) technology project located in the Nishishirakawa district of Fukushima Prefecture, Tōhoku region. It consists of a storage facility with a total capacity of 29.5 MW. It is located in a terrain with a terrain suitable for this type of facility, in the vicinity of several substations. Since the Great East Japan Earthquake, Fukushima Prefecture has been actively promoting the introduction of renewable energy.
As an area affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, it is important for Fukushima Prefecture to work towards reconstruction and the realisation of a sustainable society. The installation of energy storage plants will make it possible to effectively store these renewable energies and supply them according to demand.

Objectives

Utility :The ultimate electrical application in process (Mar, 2025) Connection:66KV. Land: LOI signed Permits :In process… The procedures for each permit and authorisation are being discussed with the administration.
