Battery energy storage system (BESS) technology project, located in the city of Kanoya, Kagoshima prefecture, Kyushu region, in the south of the country. It consists of a storage facility with a total capacity of 30 MW. It is located in a terrain with a terrain suitable for this type of installation, in the vicinity of the substation. Kagoshima Prefecture is known as an ideal location for solar power generation due to its high solar radiation. It is also rich in other renewable energy resources, such as wind and geothermal energy. By installing battery storage stations, these renewable energies can be efficiently stored and the energy generated in times of low demand can be supplied during peak demand periods.
